2004 Winners of the Equity Trustees’ Not For Profit CEO Awards

CEO of the Year

Lyn Swinburne, CEO, Breast Cancer Network of Australia Lyn Swinburne, founder and head of BCNA, was the Equity Trustees’ 2004 CEO of the Year for her efforts in helping women across Australia face the challenges of breast cancer. Lyn established BCNA in 1998 and it is now the peak national breast cancer consumer organisation representing 115 member groups and more than 10,000 individuals in every state and territory in Australia. more

 

Significant Innovation Award

Jack Heath, Executive Director, Inspire Foundation. Jack Heath, Founder and Executive Director of the Inspire Foundation, was the winner of the Equity Trustees’ 2004 Significant Innovation Award for leveraging technology for the widespread social benefit of young people. more

 

First Year Achiever Award

Peter Brown, CEO, Wimmera Uniting Care . Peter Brown, CEO of Wimmera Uniting Care, won the Equity Trustees’ 2004 First Year Achiever Award for his work in providing social services to the Wimmera region in western Victoria. more

 

Long Term Achiever Award

Councillor Vernon Knight, Executive Director, Mallee Family Care. Councillor Vernon Knight, Executive Director of Mallee Family Care, won the Equity Trustees’ 2004 Long Term Achiever Award for his tireless efforts over many years to provide quality health and welfare services to communities situated across 100,000 square kilometres in two states. more

 

Judges’ Award

Father Chris Riley, Youth off the Streets. Father Chris Riley, Chief Executive Officer of Youth off the Streets, was the winner of the Equity Trustees’ 2004 Judges’ Award for his long-term commitment to helping disadvantaged young Australians. more
